The internet is one crazy place: almost anything goes.
In the business of ‘making anything go’, affiliate marketers have devised a simple but devilishly effective strategy: they ‘review’ products and services that they have never used, set eyes on or even seen in action.
The same thing goes with services: all that it takes is a simple website, slapped on with some cheap hosting, and an ‘expert’, ‘authority’ or ‘enthusiast’ is born.
The grand aim? A few affiliate bucks; wrongly earned without you, the end consumer in mind.
What this means is simple – as you’ve already guessed: all glamorous reviews that are singularly aimed at getting you to click on and purchase, irrespective of whether or not what you are being lured on to purchase will serve you.
That is where I come in…that is where I’m completely different.
I make certain that I use every product or service that I review here and accordingly, indicate exactly what my findings are: positive, neutral or negative.
I do this so that you can enter the market with confidence as a smart, informed buyer, fully aware of the options before you with their weakness and strengths, detailed in black and white.
This way, you can make a decision that you’ll be proud of now and in the future.
Does this mean that I’m not an affiliate marketer?
I am. But, I’m one with a difference. If you purchase from my links, I may earn a commission – here’s my full affiliate disclosure.
However, my motivation isn’t the money (though it helps keep the site online). My motivation was, is and will remain getting out genuine reviews about products and services – irrespective of how these products or services turn out.
Honesty, my Mama always told me, is the best policy. Turns out she was right (as always). 🙂
