Imagine your very first visit to a superstore – a very large one that had too much of what you love. Or, your very first time to Disneyland; surrounded by attractions and a movie-like world you never knew existed outside of your display screen at home or the big screens at the theater.
In both scenarios, I’m dead certain of one thing: making choices would be (or would’ve been) the hardest thing at that moment especially since everything in or around would have appeared ideal and would have made just ‘perfect sense’.
This is one of the scenarios where the ‘good’ around you overwhelm you so much that you turn to a friend, partner, child, or even a complete stranger and ask: where on God’s holy earth do I even start?
Before I published my review of the Eufy security camera bundle, I was in that same spot: I was literally overwhelmed with the many options Eufy offered and as expected, was bothered about which one would be a perfect fit for my needs – all thanks (but no thanks) to an impressive array of thoughtfully engineered and carefully designed products with one core interest at heart: security and the reality of capturing footage when it is around or on your property; when it snows or when the sun shines; in the most challenging weather or in a ‘kid’s friendly weather’, one that actively sees the children laughing and playing around cheerfully.
When I finally got the clarity I sought, I decided on the Eufy model I needed, bought it, used the same, and subsequently, published my review right here on this website, it became clear that many more would-be users of the product were in the exact spot and shoes I was in, prior to my all-important decision of selecting the model I did.
It is for all those who are still searching for answers; those who are interested in the very best Eufy model for the money that this article is thought out and written. My hope is that it ensures that you don’t go through the stress and thought processes I did before coming to the answers I did.
I also sincerely hope that these answers will help you decide on a product that will brilliantly serve you in the months and years to come.

Which Eufy Security Camera Model Is The Best?
In my research prior to the purchase and now, experience, the best Eufy security camera model is the Eufy Cam 2 Pro offered with the Eufy HomeBase 2, hands down. However, this is a short, concise answer and one that is very straight to the point, answered in such a manner as not to waste any of your time.
If you’re interested in why I believe this is the best model (if you decide to opt for this security camera brand), kindly continue reading below.
Below, in a detailed and super articulate manner, I present the various reasons why I believe and sincerely hold that the Eufy Cam 2 Pro model remains the best option for you, especially if you’re confused as to which Eufy model to opt for.
Why Is The Eufy Cam 2 Pro The Best Eufy Security Camera Model?
There are a ton of reasons why the Eufy Cam 2 Pro remains the best Eufy security camera model currently for sale on the market. Outlined below are some of these reasons:
1. Superior All Weather Protection
The security of a place and how it is handled usually leaves little room for negotiations: if you want to see action that happens at your gate in real-time (or review actions that happened there prior), you have few options beyond simply installing a camera or network of cameras there.
The same thing applies to your garage, porch, room, or wherever else you have security needs and actually need to ensure coverage.
If you want security camera coverage, you’ll need to find a place to actually install the camera right there – without pretty much any further excuses.
This is where the Eufy Cam 2 Pro model from Anker actually excels and actively differentiates itself from the rest of the models: the model is actually IP 67 waterproof rated (it is dust sealed and has the ability to withstand rain, snow, and immersions into water for up to depths of between 150mm and 1000mm for periods of up to 30 minutes).
On the other hand, other close competing models such as the Eufy Cam Solocam E20 is only protected to an inferior IP 65 rating – one good enough to stop and keep water projected from a nozzle and not much more.
The superior water and dust ingress protection of the Eufy Cam 2 Pro Model is thus the first reason why you should consider it over and above its close sister products.
2. Ability To Work Both Outdoors And Indoors, Flawlessly
The need for security surveillance spans a reality from the outdoors to the indoors – with camera models from Eufy being offered either as models that are expressly designed for use indoors or outdoors but, hardly both.
This means that, for most options you choose, you’re limited to either installing the unit outside your home or inside but never anywhere you desire or the need arises either presently or after you buy and install said cameras.
This appears to be easy and straightforward initially. However, on looking closely, it presents a huge challenge: what happens if you no longer, for instance, need the camera(s) to cover indoors and instead, have seen the need for it/them to be used outdoors instead (for instance)?
You’d go and buy another model of Eufy’s or opt for another brand entirely?
This is where the Eufy Cam 2 Pro model brilliantly distinguishes itself from the other models: it can be used outdoors with the same ease with which it can be used indoors. As a matter of fact, the mounts accompanying the camera unit come with both indoor and outdoor mounts.
Additionally, when used outdoors, the camera model has the added advantage of being designed in a manner that actually deters theft and unauthorized contact. These realities have been discussed extensively in a close and related article: How Does The Anti-Theft Of Eufy Security Cameras Work?
The implication? Mount the camera wherever you please and enjoy unhindered video surveillance, with added peace of mind!
The ability to mount the camera either outdoors or indoors, depending on actual need (which is largely flexible and can change on a moment’s notice) is the second reason why you should consider the Eufy Cam 2 Pro camera model over and above its sisters if you’re confused on which model to get.
3. An Impressive Battery Life
Security cameras today have evolved from the standard reality that held sway some years back and was powered by the analog reality, basically needing hardwiring and power from the mains to function.
Today’s IP cameras largely come standard with batteries that have completely ditched that reality in favor of designs that actively see to it that the camera is placed anywhere and powered to protect any place where there exists such a need, irrespective of whether the grid serves such a location or not.
The reality, however, leaves much more to be desired: most of the security cameras offered in a rechargeable package are powered with batteries that necessitate frequent charging and this often removes the power and joy of the battery reality from it. There is no point, after all, in cutting short an interesting, memorable vacation (for example) just so that you can come back home and charge your security camera batteries!
With an impressive battery life of a whole year (based on the conservative estimate or between two and three 30 seconds to 1-minute daily video captures), the Eufy Cam 2 Pro has the best battery life amongst all the security camera offerings from Eufy – in addition to being one of the offers from the company that actually sports a battery reality in the first place.
The reality that the Eufy Cam 2 Pro is battery-powered and actually offers an impressive battery life (365 days on conservative use) is the third important reason why you should consider this model over its sisters. It is also worth noting that, currently, no manufacturer offers battery-powered IP cameras that sport battery lives this good. Or better.
4. Wire-Free Reality
One of the challenges of security cameras before the advent of smart, IP cameras was the fact that they often came with a wire reality that needed to have cables addressed and importantly, necessitated the help of professionals for placement and general setup.
This reality meant that even the handiest of men had challenges installing them and actually getting them to work.
Beyond the challenge of getting them to work with the plethora of cables and installations that must be processed before the cameras could do their thing, there was also the issue of ‘physical impossibility’, especially in instances where the DVR/monitor (for instance) and the actual cameras needed to be in two different places, often reasonably apart. This presented a challenge with wires such as the former needing to be on the top floor of a rented apartment and the latter, i.e. the cameras, needing to be on the ground floor used for parking.
This was one of the challenges that most modern IP cameras addressed. The Eufy Cam 2 Pro, for instance, unlike some other options from Eufy comes completely wire-free and is deployable in a plug-and-play manner, as against other options like the C24 Outdoor Cam (offered by the same company) and demanding a full wire reality, trunking and cables to get it to do its thing.
Today, the fact that a security camera actually comes wire-free is one of the greatest selling points for such a camera. It makes DIY super easy as such cameras are generally plug-and-play. The Eufy Cam 2 Pro meets this condition and this reason makes it the fourth why you should consider it over and above other options from the company if you’re considering the array of security cameras the company offers and need some help perfecting your choice.
5. 2K Super Clear Video Resolution
Most security cameras on the market (before the wide availability and acceptance of the IP range of security products) had very poor cameras and resolutions, with many of such resolving as poorly as 480p.
This presented many challenges, with the most annoying being the inability of the camera to provide clear detail of subjects especially when it mattered most. This reality was most glaring when such footage was ‘shot’ at a distance or the footage was captured in low-light settings.
The IP camera revolution largely addressed these concerns with many players upping things to at least, 720p. This provided relief but as anyone who is versed in these resolutions will tell you, 720p is only an incremental improvement to 480p and nothing groundbreaking in itself.
Eufy, being a major player of the game upped things further and now offers most of its camera range starting from 1080p. While this is a lot of improvement from the lowly 480p, there is still a lot of room for more action especially as 2k and 4k begin their acceptance rally with most resolution offerings now being pegged at the 2k range.
Unfortunately, most Eufy offerings in the security camera department are as good as 1080p – with the Eufy Cam 2 Pro being a brilliant exception and rendering at a solid 2k, resolution-wise. This ensures crystal clear details and is clearly one of the best offerings, resolution-wise, the whole security camera world has to offer at this point in time especially factoring in the pricepoint of these cameras.
In the security camera world, details are of the essence…after all, that is why these cameras are installed in the first place. If details aren’t guaranteed, especially in low light or at night, the whole essence of a security camera is hugely compromised ab initio.
This, then, is an important reason why if you’re ever confused about which of the Eufy models to choose from, the default option to revert to automatically should be the Eufy Cam 2 Pro – with all its excellent, much-needed features in addition to a brilliant resolution that ‘sees’ the world in clear 2k resolution.
This is my 5th reason.
6. A Brilliant Combination Of All These Features
Now, here’s the interesting part: some of the features mentioned here are present in some Eufy security camera models that are clearly not the Cam 2 Pro or even anything remotely close to it.
For instance, the Eufy Cam 2C Pro offers a wire-free reality, an impressive 2k resolution, an IP 67 rating but unfortunately, has battery life rated at only half of what the original Cam 2 Pro is capable of.
There are also other options, still, within the Eufy family that sport one or more of the other features mentioned above here.
However, if you’re interested in getting all these features as a full package, in one nice unit, then, no camera at the moment offers them in the Eufy range of products except the Eufy Cam 2 Pro!
Thinking Things Through And In Detail
There is, unfortunately, no one answer that fits all scenarios or answers to all things in a brilliant fashion.
Accordingly, while it is my solemn belief (backed up with hard facts that first-hand usage has reinforced), it is very important to note here that, your actual, unique needs might be different from mine and accordingly, might necessitate a slightly different recommendation from what is standard or what the previous paragraphs have emphasized on.
Here, let me attempt a varied and more flexible recommendation based on actual need scenarios:
1. If details are super important to you and you want to scare away intruders in addition to getting crisp, colored night footage, your best bet is the Eufy Cam 2C Pro. The integrated spotlight will do an amazing job based on your needs…beware, however, that this will come at expense of non-discreet recording and will affect memory and battery life adversely.
2. If you primarily need a security camera to monitor your baby and not anything else, a dedicated baby camera is what you need. Know however that you’ll be missing weather protection here and for now, resolution remains capped at 720p.
3. If your need for a security camera revolves around the reality of monitoring a pet and pretty nothing else, especially for a pet that stays largely indoors, few options from Eufy beat the Eufy Indoor Cam P24 SoloCam. Note however that while this camera pans, tilts, and actually tracks, it is also wired and you’ll lose the ability to use this for any sort of outdoor recording since this is specifically for indoor use.
4. Finally, if you appreciate a wireless security camera that won’t need to be taken down for charging, there is simply none in the Eufy family line that beats the Eufy Solo Cam S40 – an almost perfect wireless solar security camera that brilliantly negates the need for (manual/assisted) recharging as it recharges itself perpetually via the sun rays by means of an integrated solar panel. During the night or days when there would be poor sunlight or absolutely no sun at all, an integrated battery is designed to kick in and ensures recording and the business of footage coverage goes on as usual. This integrated battery gets charged up during the day, waiting to be deployed at the opportune time.
However, two sad downsides exist here: this camera (brilliant as it is) cannot be used indoors/places without direct sunlight. Again, used outside, the footage is prone to theft as it is a standalone (solocam) without the need for the security-oriented Base Station.
That said, you should take a close look at the much-talked-about Eufy Cam 2 Pro on Amazon directly, right away.
However, if Walmart is your preferred online marketplace, good news: the Eufy Cam 2 Pro is also available and open to taking a look at on Walmart directly.
Good luck.
